The FIFA World Cup has changed dramatically since last time the United States hosted the Mega Event in 1994. One of the biggest differences is the massive increase in ticket prices.
In 1994, World Cup tickets were available for just $25. For the 2026 FIFA World Cup, some premium final tickets are expected to cost as much as $10,990.

The tournament itself has significant expansion. 24 teams were competing for the title in 1994, while the 2026 World Cup will include 48 teams, the most number of teams in FIFA history.
The United States, Canada, and Mexico will jointly host the FIFA World Cup 2026. Millions of football fans are expected to attend matches in the stadiums.
With higher demand, larger stadiums, and expanded hospitality packages, ticket prices have reached record levels compared to previous World Cups.
